These are some of the annual events in Foresthill Newark NJ.
The annual Foresthill Sidewalk Sale is held in September. This event features artisans, crafters and vendors selling their goods on the sidewalk of Rt 46 West just west of I-280. The proceeds from this sale go to support a variety of community organizations including:

Forest Hill Community Association Scholarship Fund; A Better Way Foundation; Newark Area Regional Office for Children and Families (NARO); University Settlement Society of New York City; Essex County College/Essex Campus Student Organization (ECC/ESXCO).
There are also two other smaller events that take place annually in the neighborhood – ‘A Day at Woodside’ which takes place on an open lot across from the corner store at Kingsley Road and Palmer Street, and the ‘Annual Fall Festival’ which takes place on a vacant lot at the corner of Cottage Avenue and Vineland Terrace.
The Annual Pumpkin Walk is held in late October. This tradition has been taking place for over 20 years with families enjoying pumpkin picking while being entertained by hay rides, live music, petting zoos, food vendors and more!
This event also raises funds to support many local organizations including: Woodside Community Center; University Settlement Society of New York City (USCNY); The Boys & Girls Club Organization-NJ/Woodside Branch; Newark Area Regional Office for Children & Families (NARO).
