Mariner is a neighborhood nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and Cape Coral Parkway, off Pine Island Road. It was built in 1962 on land once occupied by pineapple fields that were located next to farms owned by members of the Gleason family.
The annual event for this area is their Labor Day Parade which starts at noon with live music from 12:30pm-12:45pm. The parade features fire trucks, antique cars, clowns, beauty queens and military veterans.
Other events include monthly potlucks as well as a Victorian Tea Party every November hosted at Circle C Ranch Historic Village nearby where visitors can see how life was like for settlers during Florida’s territorial days (more information on this event can be found in the “Nearby Events” section).
