* Annual Saugus Day- The Annual Saugus Day festivities are held on the third weekend in September. This event takes place at the North Side School and is an enjoyable celebration of all that makes up this local community. Events include a carnival with rides, live entertainment such as country music and gospel along with food vendors serving barbecue chicken, hot dogs, ice cream, funnel cakes and more!

* – On October, every era people from all over joined together to celebrate Boston Globe\’s 50th anniversary. The celebration included a free concert, with an opening act by the Boston Pops and guest artist Tony Bennett

– A parade of legends including Helen O’Hara (formerly of WHDH), Joanne Driscoll, Bob Wilson (former WBZ anchor) and more than 60 others who helped make the Globe what it is today.

Wreaths were laid at Isaiah Thomas statue on City Hall Plaza in honor of his contributions to this city as well as Saugus High School band that marched down Beacon Street playing tunes from the 1950s to the present.

* – Annual Christmas Tree Lighting is also held on Saugus Day at North Side School and includes a visit from Santa, hot chocolate, crafts for kids and live music performed by local musicians.
