Annual events South Orange a Neighborhood in Orange, NJ

Orange NJ has some great annual events. One such event is the South Orange Street Fair which takes place in June and includes vendors, live music, kids’ activities and food trucks. Another interesting monthly event is the Munchkin Market at Rock Hill Bakehouse on Halsey Avenue every third Saturday of each month from April to October that features a variety of artisanal goods for sale as well as artisans demonstrating their craft skills.

Annual events South Orange NJ neighborhoods are proud of

-South Orange Maplewood Food Truck Festival. Held on the third Saturday in October, this event features over 50 food trucks from all around New Jersey. Residents can sample a variety of cuisines and enjoy live music while strolling down historic South Orange Avenue with their family or friends. For families with children there will be games like bean bag tosses, dunk tanks, balloon animals and more to keep everyone entertained! This is also an alcohol free festival so parents can feel at ease letting their kids roam freely through the streets without worry that they might come across any hard liquor sales booths.

-The Spring Garden Tour: every spring for 57 years now residents have been taking part in this annual tradition where homeowners open up their gardens for public viewing. The Garden Tour is the largest fundraiser of its kind in New Jersey and it all happens on Saturday, May 16th this year!

-South Orange Maplewood Farmers Market: every Sunday from June through October a variety of vendors will be at the South Orange Community Center selling fresh produce, local eggs, honey, maple syrup and more to residents who want to support local farmers while also getting some great deals.

-Orange NJ’s Cornerstone Arts Festival–this event has been going strong since 1981 and always takes place on Labor Day weekend with over 100 artists exhibiting paintings, drawings, sculpture & pottery. It offers free admission so you can check out all that it has to offer without spending any money at all .

-South Orange NJ’s Oktoberfest–this festival has been a staple in South Orange for over 35 years now and it continues to be one of the most popular events that people look forward to every year. This is also an alcohol free event so you don’t have to worry about kids running into any hard liquor sales booths while trying out all the games, rides or attractions at this fest!

-The Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration: just like with Christmas lights around your house during the holiday season, residents take pride in their town by putting up large light installations on city property throughout December. It’s always exciting when we turn them on as they make us feel festive and bring more attention to our community.
