Largo Florida is the second largest city in Hillsborough County, Florida, and the sixth largest in the Tampa area. As of the 2020 Census, Largo had a population of 75,913, up from 70,814 in 2020. As Largo grows it is becoming more suburban and urban. Largo is home to several hospitals and has some of the top business parks in Florida.
Largo has seen an increase in its population over the past decade, but many areas in Largo have seen an increase in property values and a reduction in crime over the past couple of decades. Largo has some of the best restaurants, entertainment and shopping in the State. There are many public parks and recreational facilities in Largo, and there are also many private golf courses and community centers. Largo Florida also has the University of Largo, which is Largo’s third largest school. Many people living in Largo Florida commute to work in nearby Pinellas, Tampa, Sarasota, and Orlando. Largo also offers a variety of business centers such as the Largo International Airport. There are a Largo area library, a Largo school, and a Largo police station.
In terms of demographics, Largo Florida is evenly divided among racial groups. Largo has a larger minority population, which includes more Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, and other ethnic groups. Some of the largest concentrations of these groups are located in Largo’s downtown. Largo also has a higher proportion of low-income families compared to other cities in Florida. Largo has a growing number of well-educated citizens, which is most apparent in the Largo University. The Largo City Council has been trying to create a plan that would help Largo attract and retain a stable and prosperous middle class.
