Little Limaa is a neighborhood in Paterson NJ. People living there are mostly immigrants from countries around the world. There’s an elementary school, shops and restaurants, but no public transportation or much open space for kids to play outside.
New Jersey Transit buses that run through Little Limaa stop running at about six o’clock each evening during weekdays when children get out of school and commuters head home so it can be hard for people who live here to go anywhere else after dark. The population has been growing rapidly over recent years because many families want to move into safer neighborhoods with better schools than they may have had back where they came from. It’s become more diverse too due to this influx of new residents – now you’ll find Chinese, Vietnamese, Dominican and Colombian restaurants on Main Street.
