Sandy Hill is a neighborhood in Paterson, New Jersey. The area was initially settled by the Dutch and then developed into an industrial center during the Industrial Revolution. Sandy Hill has been home to many immigrant communities including Irish, German, Polish Jewish and Italian immigrants who came from Brooklyn.
